Arrival & Dismissal

General Information

  • Students may not be dropped off before 8:20 am (9:25 on Mondays). If arriving before that time, students must remain supervised in the car or with their parents/caregivers.
  • Staff will open the car doors and escort students to the Kindergarten Entrance.
  • Tardy bell is at 8:35 am (9:40 on Mondays). The Kindergarten doors will close and lock at 8:35 (9:40 on Mondays).
  • Students arriving after 8:35 (9:40 on Mondays) need to be signed in at the Main ELC Office 253-891-4650 prompt 3. They will be escorted to their classroom.
  • Transportation changes (between car or bus rider) must be made prior to 2:30 pm.
  • Students may not be dismissed between 2:30-normal dismissal time (3:10). This is for student safety purposes.
  • Student bus stops may only be changed when parent/guardian brings proof of residence to office and makes permanent change. (No one-day or short-term changes.)
  • Anyone checking out student in office must bring visor tag or photo ID and be on student’s approved pick-up list.
  • Early check-out ends at 2:30 pm.
  • Dismissal is at 3:10 pm.

Car Line Procedures

Anyone picking up students must display their CAR VISOR TAG. If the adult picking up the child does not have a VISOR TAG, they will be required to park, come into the office, and use their photo ID to check out the child. This is for the safety of our students.

All parents picking up students must travel through the car line. If you are walking/biking, you still must show your visor tag at the office window and proceed to the kindergarten doors to wait for your child to be dismissed.

Car Line - Drive Through

  • Follow the signs directing you to the car drop off loop in front of the school.
  • Please drive slow! Keep your child safe and secure until ready to unload.
  • In the morning, your child should be ready to exit on the right-hand (passenger) side of your car. Please remain in your vehicle, staff will open the door.
  • In the afternoon, display your Green Visor Tag on your passenger visor.
  • Proceed to green cones, pull forward as cars move forward.
