New for elementary: Bus badges enhance student safety

In our ongoing commitment to enhance safety at every point in a students’ school day, the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District is implementing a bus badge system at all elementary schools this fall. 

Students who ride the bus will receive personalized badges, which will be scanned when students get on and off the bus. This allows designated staff and parents/guardians to know the exact time and location that a student enters and exits the bus through an app. 

Families of elementary students will soon learn details about bus badge distribution and use from their child’s school. 

This new bus badge system is another step toward keeping our kids safe, our families informed and our school days running smoothly.
