Register for kindergarten
Do you know a child who will be five years old on or before Aug. 31? Kindergarten registration is now open for the 2025-26 school year.

Elementary conferences: Early release March 26, 27
Elementary spring parent/teacher conferences are taking place March 26 and 27. On these days, elementary schools release students according to their early dismissal schedule, which varies by school. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Community Cultural Celebration: April 26
Don’t miss the opportunity to connect, learn and celebrate at the free Community Cultural Celebration event from 11 am - 2 pm on April 26. Enjoy performances by our students and community, cultural booths, storytelling, activities, international foods and student art.

The Sumner Early Learning Center serves kindergarten students who live in the attendance areas of Daffodil Valley and Maple Lawn elementary schools and is specifically designed to support young learners through scale and space. Registration is now open for the 30th annual Community Summit on March 13. This free event features 6 breakout sessions, community resource displays and volunteer opportunities, a catered dinner, Unsung Hero awards, presentations and keynote speaker, Dr. Gene Sharratt.

Since we have not had to cancel school due to inclement weather, there is no school on both Feb. 14, which was reserved for an emergency weather makeup day, and Feb. 17 (Presidents Day).
